Keep On Truckin Game

My artistic vision for this project is only about 10% of what the game ended up in the end. I could handle all the art work that came with making the game but the code was really what limited me. A lot of the code I wrote 3 or 4 times in different ways. It was definitely a fun class and definitely a challenge.

These images are made with Autodesk Maya and with Arnold's toon shader. I was able to use the render of the outline of the objects and buildings and take them in to Photoshop and add a paper like texture to the background. I drew over the top of each of the frames. I ended up using a gif for the background building and making it loop. This saved on memory for the processing program. The title image and the game over image are Robert Crumb art work. The whole idea behind this project was his art work keep on truckin. In the drawing the walk has large feet and is very stylized. I think I managed to get a similar style and a unique game.
